Honest mistake?

I am sorry. I cannot accept that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s not paying all the taxes he owed, was a ‘honest’ mistake. The explanation given is that he did the taxes himself using a tax software, and it missed calculating the self employment tax he owed. It simply is not true as the simplest of tax calculators would have caught his omission and warned him. How do I know? Because, I also did not know about self employment tax; but the tax software I used rudely calculated and added it for me when I first filed taxes as a business owner!
