Hold off on the fat lady to sing!

I am quite alarmed at the issues they are having with website for Obamacare (Affordable Care Act).  The system requires querying various databases (IRS, Social Security, Veterans Benefits etc.) to verify the eligibility of the applicant. As an IT professional, I know that this is an extremely complex thing to do.  Each of the databases has its own structure and the platform (software and hardware), and to make them talk to each other is like getting Afghanistan military work with the US military – it takes time and can end up in total failure.  In California they have spent over $200 million to modernize their DMV databasesystem, and the work is still not complete, A DMV database is child’s play compared to the Obamacare database. So, I expect the problems of Obamacare to become a big issue in the coming months.  This would make Republicans look not so crazy after all when the 2014 mid-term elections roll in late 2014.
